Meet My American Girls

I thought I'd introduce you my lovely ladies!

First is Josefina!

Josefina was my first American Girl, and I got her for Christmas in 2000. I love her stories and brought her everywhere with me when I was younger.  She mostly stays in her historical period now-a-days, dressing in all her lovely 1820s finery!

Next is Kaya!

Kaya is also very adventurous and loves riding horses! The moment I saw her on the front of the catalog when she was first released, I knew she would be the perfect sister for Josefina, so I saved my money and bought her myself in 2002. She also mostly stays historical, though I've considered creating an alternate personality for her because she has so few clothing options as of now...

Third we have Lalaine!

Lalaine was adopted from a previous home! I fell in love with her lovely red hair (I always wanted red hair) and bright green eyes. She's a modern girl who loves singing and writing music. She also loves children and hopes to be a music teacher. She has a little sister, Georgie, who has always been her best friend!

And next, Marisol!

Marisol joined in 2005. She loves performing in many different ways. She loves all types of dancing, especially ballet and swing dancing! She also loves animals, especially her little kitten Balanchine. She is very compassionate and always willing to listen to a friend.

Fifth is Lucy Pevensie!

Lucy is a custom (Kit with new wig) from February 2011. She is an brave little girl who loves exploring and has an incredible imagination. She is not shy and is always ready to make new friends. Lucy is a wonderful story teller and also a great listener and is always willing to help out a friend in need! Lucy sometimes guest appears as Lalaine's younger sister, Georgie, when she feels like jumping out of the '40s.

Gaia Congelosi!

Gaia is my mini-me! She is a custom (#25 with a #26 wig cut to my hair-style) that I created in October 2011. She is very fashionable and dresses like me, but her personality is a little more spunky and adventurous than my own. She is Italian and loves learning about her culture. She also loves playing the cello and skiing! At college, she is studying Italian and costume designing.

Marie-Grace!

I picked out Marie-Grace at AGPNY (first doll I've ever hand-picked) and I adore her! She is sort of my catch-all historical, and loves to wear clothes of her own time period, along with Samantha's and Rebecca's since I love their outfits too! I wasn't too excited about her when she first came out, but I'm so glad I took a second look, because I just love her story and time period and think she is a stunning doll!

Number 8 has joined the family!
Catherine Daisy Mullen!

Little miss Mia caught my attention in January and the hunt was on! I'm so glad I was able to get this lovely girl from a friendly AGPT boardmember. Daisy was born in Australia, but has lived in the U.S. for many years. She loves ice skating, baking, and studying and taking classes. She has an incredibly positive attitude and is almost always smiling!
